Dog Fouling

We’ve made some little signs asking people to “Pick up after your dog!”  The idea is to stick them into the ground near the offending pile in the hope that the owners will change their behaviour!   If you would like a few signs just let me know.   Alternatively, if you tell me where there is a doggy deposit, I’ll come and plant a sign!

You can report dog fouling offences direct to the Dog Warden, Brian Dunn. But, please remember that fines cannot be imposed for dog fouling along unrestricted roads between villages or in open countryside.

Please Bag It and Bin It!

Litter

During windy weather many plastic bottles are seen blowing around on Recycling Collection days.   Don’t forget that Ryedale DC is still offering elasticated nets to go over the boxes to prevent things blowing away.  Either call in at Ryedale House when you’re in Malton, or give them a ring and they’ll get one to you.

 Volunteers Please

The next big project will be maintenance of the grips, gulleys and gutters to improve drainage after rain.   I shall be asking Community Payback if they can give us some more help now that there is a 30mph limit in East Lutton and Helperthorpe.

New volunteers are always welcome.  Why not look after a parish planter?
