Luttons Parish Council are seeking a Clerk to support the work of the council.
The role will include secretarial, administrative and simple accounting duties. Working
along side Councillors, these activities will include: arranging and preparing agendas for
six meetings a year; taking and distributing minutes; dealing with correspondence
including circulating planning applications; paying accounts, book-keeping and preparing
bi-monthly and year-end accounts; maintaining records of Council activity; following up
actions agreed by the Council; acting as the interface between the Council, its
electorate and other bodies.
The Clerk will need: good communication skills (both spoken and written); be computer
literate, and basic cash accounting and budgeting.
Experience is not essential as on the job training will be provided.
This is a part-time appointment working from home for 60 hours over the year, which
currently pays £9.21 per hour plus expenses. If you would like to know more of the role
