Electricity Supplies for Priority Customers
CE Electric UK (YEDL & NEDL) has been liasing with Parish Councils to promote their Priority Services Register. The company’s Priority customers are the most vulnerable in the community. In the last year, the register has grown to include just over 94,000 vulnerable customers.
CE Electric UK have been working in partnership with the Royal National Institute for the Deaf and the Women’s Royal Voluntary Service to broaden their understanding of vulnerable customers needs.
They are also working with local hospitals, health trusts and electricity suppliers to obtain information on customers who may be medically dependent on electricity, for example, those who have oxygen concentrators or home dialysis. Alternatively, inclusion on their register may be for other reasons such as the customer being elderly, infirm or having a condition non-dependent upon their electricity supply. Should a Priority customer report a loss of power CE Electric UK will endeavour to go that extra mile to assist them.
If you consider that you may be amongst those eligible to be included on the Register and you have not already been contacted, get in touch with your Parish Council and they will ensure that your details are passed on.
