December Warbler

I will only be producing an online version of the Warbler for December. This will not be issued until after the 3rd of December when we know what lockdown will hold for us.

I am anxious to increase the size of the email list so if you know of anyone who may be interested or you can coax any new members, please get them to send me their e-mails.

Lockdown Arrangements for Rarey Halt Shop and Tearoom

During lockdown the tearoom will be closed. However, we will be doing take-away drinks and hot bacon, sausage and/or egg sandwiches/baps – when they are gone they are gone! Cakes and tray bakes will also usually be available.

The shop will be open 10am – 1pm on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. we continue to stock bread, milk, eggs, flour, yeast, dried fruit, soft drinks, chocolate, sweets and other ‘essentials’.

We are taking orders for:

Rafters Fruit and Veg – please order by 5pm on Tuesday for Friday collection.

Derventio Bakery bread, baps, fruited teacakes, sausage rolls, pasties and pies – please order by Tuesday 5pm for collection on Thursday or Friday 1pm for collection on Saturday.

Soanes Poultry fresh chickens and chicken portions – please order by 5pm on Tuesday for Friday collection. We are also taking orders for Soanes Christmas Poultry up 29th November.

Lists of fruit, veg, bread and Christmas poultry are available in the shop.

We have fresh milk delivered on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Orders can be placed, before the times given above please, in the shop, by telephone or by putting a note in the letter box at the back door of the house. Unfortunately Facebook messages may get missed.

We hope, subjects to ‘the rules’ not changing further, to reopen the tearoom on December 3rd, but look forward to seeing you in the meantime.

Stay safe.
